Senator Derrick Simmons HONORS BLACK HISTORY
Senator Derrick T. Simmons (D-Greenville) honors Black History and has accepted speaking engagements throughout his senate district and the Mississippi Delta.
On Sunday, February 22, 2015 at 3:00 p.m., Senator Simmons will be the keynote speaker at Pilgrim Rest’s Annual Black History Program. Pilgrim Rest is located on the corner of 3rd and Grand Streets in Greenville, Mississippi. The theme is “Unfinished Work.”
On Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., Senator Simmons will be the keynote speaker at Coahoma Community College Black History Program on the college campus in the Pinnacle. The theme is “African American Life and Culture in the Mississippi Delta.”
